Eating Disorder Awareness Week will this year take place from the 25th February to 2nd March 2019.
To mark the week, the teams of Bedfordshire and Luton will be joining forces to continue the conversation on all eating disorders, increasing understanding and collaborating with the aim of recovery.
We are thrilled to be able to host a Recovery Fayre and contributing workshops at The Higgins Centre Bedford on the 2nd March from 11-3, to be followed by a performance of Eat Me
- a play written and directed by a recovering eating disorder sufferer.
Recovery from an eating disorder is a process that is individual to all, and we want to encourage people to reach out for help to whichever service they feel safe and comfortable with. Whilst referral to the specialist ED teams may of course
result in some cases, we need to demonstrate that there are amazing and supportive services that can be contacted in the first instance.
The day will be inclusive and welcoming to all, from service users to carers- giving professionals the opportunity to network in addition.
There will be so many incredible people to meet and network with, activities to learn about and even goody bags, kindly put together through volunteer donations.
Contact the team by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org for more information, or call 01234 263621.
