The King's Fund came into being in 1897 as a charity and an inspector of hospitals. In 1948, with the establishment of the NHS, it became a health think tank. It has just collaborated in a partnership with Alliance Manchester Business School to investigate and analyse the role of the Care Quality Commission and how effective it is as a health inspectorate.
The Chief Executive of the Trust Dr. Navina Evans was approached by the King's Fund to consider her and the Trust's experience of the recent inspection process. Her thoughts on this were published on Monday and can be accessed here.
