Today, staff from Children's Therapy services in Newham and Barnet came together for the Trust's first Paediatric Away Day in Stratford Circus in Newham.
The event was an opportunity for staff from both boroughs to meet, and to share knowledge, showcase initiatives that have improved to care children and families receive, and learn from each other. It was a chance to hear about innovation in other specialities and consider how they could be adopted in local services.
The event was attended by speech and language therapists, occupational therapists and physiotherapists.
It was an opportunity to consider the next steps for therapy services and future developments to ensure it remains a modern cutting edge service that provides optimum support and care to families.
A representative from Newham Clinical Commissioning Group was present and stated how much they value the work of the therapies teams.
