10 October 2019

The World Health Organisation recognises World Mental Health Day on 10 October every year. This year's theme set by the World Federation for Mental Health is suicide prevention.

To coincide with World Mental Health Day, NHS England are launching  their new online digital platform designed to support people who may be struggling with low mood, anxiety or depression.

Every Mind Matters aims to encourage people to find ways to bring in simple changes to their daily routines in order to help stop what are often natural responses to life’s challenges from becoming more serious.

The platform has received a boost through support from the Duke and Duchess of Sussex who have narrated a new advert for the platform, directed by ‘Two Weddings and a Funeral’ Richard Curtis.

The film features Davina McCall, Rizzle Kicks, Will Young and Sir Bradley Wiggins who are supporting action to stop stigmatising the experience of mental health.
