Are you a patient looking to get healthier? The Trust has a number of schemes to help you on your way. Whether you would like to improve your swimming, attend a gym or play football. We have a number of initiatives that patients can get involved in.  

Swimming 

Join a 12 week swimming programme at the Aquatics Centre, Olympic Park with a designated swimming instructor.  For more information contact Marica.Wainner@elft.nhs.uk

Join a gym

Sign up to our Physical Health Referral Scheme to have full use of The CopperBox Arena and Aquatics Centre at the Olympic Park for £13.20pcm or pay-as-you-go.  The former Olympic venue has a state-of-the-art 80 station gym and two studios that host more than 25 fitness classes each week. Patients can contact their care coordinator for referral or the Trust Health Coordinator directly Marica.Wainner@elft.nhs.uk . For more information, read leaflet below:

Walking Football 

Walking Football is a slower-paced version of football ideal for at older participants. It’s designed to be fun and help people keep an active lifestyle. LoveFootball and NHS CCG will be holding an over 40’s Football Tournament. Participants must be registered with a GP in Tower Hamlets, Hackney, Newham or Waltham Forest. Players will be issued with a free football kit and a free ticket to the Soccer Six Event at the Coperbox Arena.  Sign up by Friday 26 May by contacting Kate.Byford@newhamccg.nhs.uk or 01038162324. Headstart Active Newham Young Persons activity programme
