Mindful Yoga sessions are being launched in Central Bedfordshire to promote physical and mental wellbeing.
The sessions will be delivered by a qualified yoga instructor working alongside coaches trained in mental health first aid.
Participants are encouraged to stay after their exercise, enjoy complementary refreshments and speak with Trust staff who will offer advice on mental wellbeing and signposting to other services and support networks.
Mindful Yoga will take place every Wednesday at Tiddenfoot Leisure Centre in Mentmore Road, Leighton Buzzard.
It is from 1.45pm-3.15pm and the first session is on Wednesday October 31.
The classes are open to anyone aged 18 or older living or working in Central Bedfordshire.
“The door to Mindful Yoga is open to everyone,” said the Trust’s project lead Health Development Coordinator Steve Muggridge.
“You could be a member of staff, carer, service user or a member of the public with no involvement with our services. Anyone who takes part will walk out feeling refreshed in body and mind.”
Mindful Yoga is a partnership project between the Trust, Central Bedfordshire Council, Mind BLMK and Tiddenfoot Leisure Centre.
Sessions cost £2.50.
