The inspirational journey of a service user’s journey to personal peace and happiness has been featured in a national newspaper.
Millie Smith, from Bedfordshire, now works with the Trust's People Participation team and supports other service users as a peer support worker.
She also works part-time for Music 24, coordinating music groups on acute mental health wards where she was once a patient.
Millie was diagnosed with bipolar disorder three years ago.
“Once upon a time I’d wish I didn’t have bipolar, but I don’t believe this now,” she said.
“I now feel bipolar has brought me good fortune and I’ve never felt happier or more at peace.”
Her feature was published in the Sunday Express S Magazine on 15 October, 2017.
