NHS 70 Garden Party at Mile End Hospital
Thursday 5 July 2018
11.00am to 3.00pm
Local NHS organisations in Tower Hamlets are coming together on Thursday 5 July to celebrate the 70th Anniversary of the NHS with a Garden Party at Mile End Hospital.
Mile End Hospital has always played a central role in the care and treatment of Tower Hamlets residents and has become a hub of community and mental health care services. So it is an apt place to mark this important date.
Marquees will be set up in the garden to house a range of displays and activities.
A cake competition will be underway. Guests will have a chance to sample and vote for their favourite cake.
Guests can view a photo gallery of pictures of the hospital over the decades.
There will be a series of discussions and talks with leading clinicians in the borough, with a chance to ask your questions.
The NHS 70 event will be an opportunity to find out about jobs and careers opportunities in local NHS services in Tower Hamlets. Guests can talk to recruitment staff about how they can take their first step into working in local health services.
‘Massage Angels' will be at large in the garden to easy aching necks, backs and shoulders. The London Meditation Centre will be offering 20 minute sessions in a quieter part of the site to help people relax, de-stress and feel in control of their day.
There will be free refreshments and subsidised food available throughout the day. (Approx £2.50 per person)
Bring all family along to celebrate 70 years of local NHS health services
