Public meetings have been held across Bedfordshire and Luton to help start shaping the future face of healthcare across the region.
Healthwatches in Luton, Central Bedfordshire, Bedford Borough and Milton Keynes have hosted open forums for people to be involved in the Bedfordshire, Luton and Milton Keynes Sustainability and Transformation Plan (BLMK STP).
The Trust and 11 other local NHS organisations are working together with four local authorities in Bedfordshire, Luton and Milton Keynes to develop the STP for the area.
The STP aims to improve health services and better join up with social care so that everyone living in the region can have better services, live healthier lives and, if they should fall ill, have even better treatment than they currently receive.
A draft (BLMK) sustainability and transformation plan (STP) was published in November and outlines the aims of the project.
The Healthwatch events were held in Luton on January 26, Milton Keynes on January 30, Central Bedfordshire on January 31 and Bedford Borough on February 1.
Visit the BLMK STP website for more information.
