Our Governors, elected by our members, are vital in helping us to make decisions about how we plan, run and develop our services and to make sure the views of our members, users of our services and their carers as well as local people are taken on board.
Our Council of Governors perform a range of statutory and non-statutory duties. The role of a Governor is voluntary; however Governors can claim out of pocket expenses while carrying out the role.
If you would like to work with ELFT to make a real difference to our services, represent the views of our members, users of our services and local people then please consider nominating yourself.
Who can be a Governor?
To be eligible to stand, you will need to live in one of the Trust constituencies with Governor vacancies (Tower Hamlets, Hackney, Newham, City of London, Bedford Borough and Central Bedfordshire) and be a member of the Trust. If you are not already a member please complete our online Membership application form here
As a Governor you can make a real difference. Our current Governors have made a short video talking about their role and encouraging others to apply. You can view this here
