A fresh round of public meetings are being held to help shape the future face of healthcare across Bedfordshire and Luton. Sessions are being held in Luton, Central Bedfordshire and Bedford Borough as part of the planning process for the Bedfordshire, Luton and Milton Keynes Sustainability and Transformation Plan (BLMK STP).

The Trust and 11 other local NHS organisations are working together with four local authorities in Bedfordshire, Luton and Milton Keynes to develop the STP for the area.
It aims to improve health services and better join up with social care so that everyone living in the region can have better services, live healthier lives and, if they should fall ill, have even better treatment than they currently receive.
Discussions at next week's meetings will cover six key areas that hospital and clinical teams have identified as those most under pressure and need help.
STP partners will be inviting feedback to understand what matters the most to patients and members of the public so that this can be considered when looking at how to strengthen and improve the NHS locally.
