The COVID-19 pandemic put the protection of public health at the forefront. This included people with No Recourse to Public Funds (NRPF) Local authorities were directed to temporarily suspend usual eligibility rules in order to respond to the COVID-19 public health emergency and protect all rough sleepers by providing accommodation, regardless of their immigration status.

Our Inequalities webinar focuses on this group and better understand what No Recourse To Public Funds actually means and how it impacts on health and social care access. The webinar will also touch on how we support these communities as we come out of the pandemic. We are delighted that Henry St Clair Miller, Head of NRPF, Refugee and Migrant Services, NRPF Network, and Dr Yusuf Ciftci, Doctors of the World, have agreed to speak.

Following the talks there will be an opportunity for questions and discussion and look at how ELFT can link into this work further.

This session is open for everyone and we encourage representatives from each service to attend. The webinar will help you gain understanding of the challenges experienced through the COVID-19 pandemic by our local communities.
