There has been significant research into the physical health and wellbeing of people who have or have had an experience of psychosis. This has shown that many people with psychosis have a higher incidence of diabetes with poorer outcomes and management of the illness.

There are many reasons for this that vary amongst individuals, however limited understanding of diabetes, management strategies and outcomes contribute largely.

This course will explore what diabetes is, why it can occur, the prevalence and incidence amongst people with psychosis, management strategies and supports in locally and in the wider community.
