Approximately 700,000 people are diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in the UK alone. Despite this, Autism is often misunderstood and misrepresented in the community. This can sometimes cause people who are diagnosed with Autism and their families or carers to become isolated in society. This can have detrimental impact to their mental health and wellbeing.

This course aims to explore the definition of Autism Spectrum Disorder, how Autism is experienced by people and what is available in Tower Hamlets and the wider community to support people with Autism.

"Everything was done very well. Speakers and co-ordinators very knowledgeable and able to explain clearly the simple terms."
