Physical health and mental health are often thought of as separate. However, the bi-directional relationship is now recognised as hugely important. People with depression are 67% more likely to develop heart disease and people with schizophrenia are twice as likely to die from heart disease. These statistics evidence the important of working on overall wellbeing when addressing health problems.

This course will explore how physical health and mental health are bi-directionally related, the causes of poor outcomes when physical and mental health are not equally regarded, what can be done to improve this and what support and services are available in the community.

"Thank you so very much for delivering this course. I am delighted with the course and how it was delivered. Many thanks!"
