ELFT is committed to developing a culture of engagement based on frequent open discussions.  Appraisal is not about recording two meetings across the year, but rather a process where managers and staff develop and create an environment of collaboration and mutual respect, with regular contact, to deliver on the Trust Strategy.

Set The Date
►  Staff and manager set the date for the appraisal meeting (minimum 10 days notice)
► Both parties prepare for the appraisal meeting and pre-populate the ONLINE Appraisal Form
► Appraisal meetings held - appraisal is agreed and  completed IN FULL
► A  copy of the appraisal can be accessed by the appraisee and appraiser
► Appraisal completion date to be entered on ESR by 31 October* (usually 30 June)
► Interim Reviews held. To be completed by 31 December

* We recognise that with the COVID-19 pandemic, some staff will be able to have online appraisal meetings with their line manager, but others may not have capacity due to the pressure of work. With this in mind, we have moved the completion date to accomodate this unusual time but we would like as many people as possible to complete their appraisal meetings by the end of June if possible.
