Here at the Coborn Centre, we work with 12-18-year-olds and their families across the boroughs of Newham, Hackney
and Tower Hamlets. Our purpose-built premises at Newham University Hospital comprises 12 acute beds, 16 intensive care
beds and up to nine-day patient places.
About The Coborn
The service has led the way in the design of adolescent mental health facilities nationally. We have recently been awarded an excellent by the QNIC accreditation process and also accredited as Outstanding by the CQC.
As a Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service, we work collaboratively to provide comprehensive assessment and treatment programmes for our patients.
We have opportunities for enthusiastic and innovative Band 5 and Band 6 nurses with a keen interest in working with young people and their families to support recovery. A typical day may include helping a young person return to school, therapeutically playing on the Wii, or helping a young person through a period of extreme distress.
Training and Development Opportunities
A wide range of support and development is available including supervision, reflection, teaching, and preceptorship programmes.
The Coborn Centre offers a rewarding career where you will be valued as a key member of our team and able to make a difference in the lives of our patients and residents - supporting and encouraging them to achieve their goals and ambitions.
