Barford Avenue Resource Centre (Bedfordshire)

Barford Avenue Resource Centre
29 Barford Avenue,
Bedford,
Bedfordshire
MK42 0DS

The Barford Avenue Resource Centre offers a service for adults over the age of 16 who are experiencing mental health difficulties and who live in Bedford Borough or Central Bedfordshire. The Centre works in conjunction with The Day Resource Centre, Bedford.

The approach is planned to enable people to find ways of overcoming, or reducing their distress and to feel in control of their lives. The services help people to safely experience contact with others again and to develop a real sense of trust in themselves and people around them. The ethos of social inclusion is a fundamental part of the Centre’s method of working.

People will be seen in confidence, following a referral, and can be accompanied by the referrer, an advocate or other trusted third party. A full assessment of needs will be carried out together, resulting in an agreed care plan. If the individual is part of a Care Programme Approach (CPA) we will work closely with the care co-ordinator to ensure consistency.

The centre offers:
