We have a physical space in the City and Hackney Centre for Mental Health where staff can meet carers by appointment. However, depending on the support you need, you can access any of the services provided by the organisations involved.
You will not have to wait for support or be referred between organisations - if you are supported by the hub, you are supported by everyone! Our Hub has been designed with relatives, friends and carers to help the people who use it:
- Feel like part of the team looking after the person they care for
- Access the best emotional and practical support
- Learn more about Mental Health and the things that can help you in your role
The Hub is a place where you can talk about how you are feeling and meet other family members and carers. You can meet our carer support workers 1:1 or join one of our regular carer group meetings. Our experts offer a wide range of support such as carers’ assessments, applying for benefits and grants, and understanding mental health diagnosis and treatment.
We also offer coaching, counselling, and training, including support if someone close has alcohol/substance use issues. We aim to meet the needs of families, friends, and carers and support them in the most appropriate and useful way possible.
