The Trust is pleased to be celebrating 75 years of the NHS with a community fayre in East London for our staff, service users, governors and the public!
The London Community Fayre, which is completely free, will be held on Wednesday, 12th July from 14:00-16:30 at Toynbee Hall, 28 Commercial Street, London, E1 6LS.
There are some great plans under way. This will be a ‘pop-in’-style event, and you can come-and-go as you see fit throughout the afternoon.
You will be able to enjoy a range of refreshments, cake and fruit, and there will be useful resources and stalls for you to browse, including ELFT’s Befriending Service and all information about employment, IT, health and wellbeing.
The aim of the event will be for ELFT to reconnect with the local community by celebrating everything about the NHS. ELFT’s local governors will also be on hand to speak with you, and they are keen to meet in-person after a considerable amount of time spent online.
The event is run by Tina Bixby, who is ELFT’s Membership Officer.
Commenting on the event, Tina Bixby said: “75 years of the NHS is an incredible milestone, so we couldn’t be happier to be showcasing this and what is in the works for the future.
“This is an opportunity to reconnect with our community and staff, and I encourage everyone to share an hour of their time with us on Wednesday, 12th July.”
The registration link via Eventbrite can be accessed below. If you would like to receive more information about this event, please get in contact with elft.membership@nhs.net.
The venue is accessible for all attendees and participants who may have disability needs.
