The NHS turns 75 on July 5 and Bedfordshire Community Health Services (BCHS) is launching the patchwork project as part of the celebrations.
Anyone who wants to take part is asked to produce a fabric square which will be added to the quilt. It will then be put on public display at various locations across the county.
Kamila Naseova, BCHS People Participation Lead, is leading the project.
“The NHS has played a part in all of our lives, so we have chosen the theme of ‘what joins us together’ for this project to celebrate its landmark birthday,” she said.
“We would love to see as many people get involved as possible.”
Each fabric square should be 10x10cms, including a seam allowance of 1cm all around so it can be joined with others.
Kamila can be contacted on 07768 854991 or kamila.naseova@nhs.net with any questions.
Fabric tiles should be submitted by May 31.
