Nursing Directors
Eileen Bryant has over 35 years’ experience as a registered nurse, midwife and health visitor, with more than 20 years in senior nursing leadership roles. She joined East London NHS Foundation Trust in February 2022 as Director of Nursing for Primary Care & Bedfordshire Community Services, and returned to the Trust in April 2025 following her retirement, continuing to lead the primary care portfolio alongside key corporate responsibilities.
Eileen has worked across primary care, community services, mental health, acute services and commissioning at local, regional and national levels. She has a strong interest in quality governance, patient safety and safeguarding, and is committed to ensuring equitable, high-quality care for diverse communities.
She is passionate about developing compassionate clinical leaders and building a confident nursing workforce that feels empowered to improve outcomes for patients while achieving their own professional aspirations. She values collaboration, system working and continuous learning as central to excellent care.
Eileen believes leadership is about visibility, integrity and kindness - creating cultures where people feel safe to speak up, supported to grow and inspired to deliver the very best care for patients and communities.
Sasha Singh has been a registered Mental Health Nurse for 24 years and has worked with East London NHS Foundation Trust since 2010. Over the years, she has gained experience in inpatient, community, and specialist mental health settings. She has a strong interest in promoting equity and parity of services for service users and values coproduction as a means of achieving this.
Sasha is passionate about nursing and about developing a workforce capable of making a positive difference to the lives of others while also achieving their own career aspirations. She views her role and leadership position as an opportunity to motivate and support women
