Barbara has been appointed to the post following the temporary departure of Chief People Officer Tanya Carter for a period of maternity leave.
Formerly Deputy Director of People and Culture, Barbara will bring her extensive NHS experience and a passion for supporting ELFT staff.
Barbara began her NHS career at Lewisham and Greenwich, before moving on to King’s College Hospital and Imperial College Healthcare where she gained a breadth of experience in workforce development and employee engagement. She is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) and has led several people-focussed initiatives to strengthen teams and enhance staff wellbeing.
Barbara said: “I am absolutely delighted and deeply honoured to be appointed as the Acting Chief People Officer at ELFT. It is a privilege to support and champion the incredible people who make such a vital difference to patients’ lives every day.”
Chief Executive Lorraine Sunduza said: “I am so delighted that Barbara will be joining our Trust leadership team to ensure a smooth transition and continued support for the organisation.
“Barbara is very familiar with our organisation and has a wealth of experience. We are confident that she will bring valuable insights and collaboration during this period.”
