The service provides person-centred mental health input for people when they need it – to help prevent people becoming very unwell and needing hospital admissions, or to help them avoid spending time in A&E as much as they may do now.
From Monday 22 December to Tuesday 23 December, and on Wednesday 24 December (Christmas Eve), the centre will operate as usual. On Thursday 25 December (Christmas Day) and Friday 26 December (Boxing Day), support will be available by pre-arranged appointments only, with phones open 8am-8pm.
Normal opening hours will resume from Saturday 27 December through to Wednesday 31 December, and on Thursday 1 January (New Year’s Day) the centre will be open as usual, following a weekend schedule.
Based in Bethnal Green, the Barnsley Street Neighbourhood Mental Health Centre will be available for local residents registered at any of the following five GP practices:
-
Bethnal Green Health Centre
-
The Mission Practice
-
Sutton’s Wharf Health Centre
-
Strouts Place Medical Centre
-
XX Place Health Centre
Local people registered with the above practices will be able to drop in and can be directed or referred by their GP too - no referrals are needed.
