Mark Dunne, Staff Side Chair for UNITE Trade Union, and Julian Mockridge, Path to Recovery Manager, are aiming to raise £2,000 to purchase and deliver essential educational and medical equipment to children who otherwise have limited access to specialist support. Both are UNITE representatives within the Trust.
Throughout November, Mark and Julian will cycle 300 miles (over 500km) to generate donations for vital aids including asthma pumps, braille machines to convert text for visually impaired learners, and musical instruments used for therapeutic and educational purposes.
Mark said: “We both feel privileged to be involved and be able to do something active to support such a worthy cause.”
Funds raised will help children with disabilities access resources that can significantly improve their quality of life.
