The industrial action is scheduled to start from 7am on Friday 25 July and end at 7am on Wednesday 30 July. The decision to strike has been taken as part of a dispute between the BMA and the Government over pay for resident doctors.
The Trust’s position is to provide a safe service for both our patients and our staff. We will aim to operate as many of our normal services as possible using our well tested contingency plans.
The Trust and the trade unions are working in partnership to help people to exercise their right to protest while at the same time making sure that patient safety is protected and disruption to patients minimised as far as possible.
Service users should continue to attend scheduled appointments during the strike period, unless notified otherwise by the ELFT service providing care.
