The event will feature contributions from Crisis, which will provide an overview of homelessness data trends in areas including City & Hackney, Tower Hamlets, Newham, Luton and Bedfordshire, alongside national data and insights into the organisation’s ongoing work.
A speaker from the Museum of Homelessness and Pathway will present findings from the Dying Homeless Project, discussing how we can prevent and learn from homeless deaths and recommend key actions for healthcare professionals.
NHS North East London (NEL) will share details of the NEL Homeless Health Strategy, and the Mary Seacole Housing Association will describe an innovative pilot housing project for people sleeping rough and those with no recourse to public funds in Luton.
The webinar will also include input from Groundswell, highlighting the role of those with lived experience in supporting people currently experiencing homelessness, and from an ELFT Population Health Fellow, who will outline a project aimed at reducing health inequities at three specialist inclusion health GP practices in east London.
Richard Fradgley, Executive Director of Integrated Care and Deputy CEO will be leading the webinar.
