Hannah really valued the support given to her after the birth of her second child. Having her first baby during the COVID lockdown had a impact on how she coped and recovered afterwards. So she wanted to give something back to the team and ELFT by raising money for the ELFT Charity. Her training is paying off and she has surpassed her original fundraising target of £375 and has raised over £400.

She said, "My training has mostly involved me running through the rain questioning my life choices. At one point I genuinely wasn’t sure if it was the rain or my tears! If you’re able to donate, that would be amazing and keep me running! Here’s to doing the harder things and showing our children that we can."
The OCEAN (Offering Compassionate Emotional Support for those Living Through Birth Trauma & Birth Loss) team is an integrated maternity and mental health service providing support for those affected by birth loss or birth trauma. You can find out more about the team here
Hannah says, "After having the textbook perfect pregnancy, the delivery and recovery from my first was a much more complicated experience (especially during COVID) which made the decision of having a 2nd baby that more trickier. With the help & support from the OCEAN team.. I was able to have the best experience with my 2nd that became empowering and healing."
ELFT support women & families by helping them navigate difficult experiences around pregnancy, birth, and early motherhood, giving them confidence, strength, and support. The funds Hannah raises will help support projects that improve the experience of people who use ELFT services.
