The Community Integrated Mental Health Service (CIMHS) North Team was shortlisted in the Performance Recovery Award category of this year’s awards.
This is a large multidisciplinary team working in collaboration with multiple voluntary sector providers to deliver meaningful mental health interventions to the people of North Newham.
A project was undertaken in 2023/24 by colleagues to improve clinical efficiency, staff wellbeing and operational safety across the service. As a result of tweaks to the service’s referral process and leadership structure, colleagues successfully halved waiting times, reduced agency staff costs by £666,000 per year and improved staff and service user experiences.
The HSJ Awards ceremony will take place on Thursday 20 November at Battersea Evolution, London.
