Mental Health Awareness Week is now in its 24th year, having started in 2001 by the Mental Health Foundation. Each year, the week brings people across the UK together to draw attention to help available. This is in addition to the ways people can support themselves, and the mental health of their friends, family and colleagues.
The East London NHS Foundation Trust is on hand to support our community in any way we can. Below is a list of our services that you can reach out to, if you’re struggling with your mental health.
NHS Talking Therapies
Each of our local authorities across Bedfordshire, City & Hackney, Newham and Tower Hamlets have Talking Therapies services.
This is a service aimed for people aged 18+ and are experiencing common mental health problems, including depression and anxiety. The service offers Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) as well as a range of different therapy modalities – either via individual or group sessions.
One of the service’s offerings is a wellbeing webinar for anybody who feels they could benefit from taking a first step to address their issues. These are pre-recorded, and can be easily accessed at a suitable time.
GP referrals to our Talking Therapies services are not required, and the relevant details for each borough can be found below:
