Background: The global refugee crisis is a growing humanitarian challenge driven by climate, conflicts and political instability. The number of displaced individuals is expected to rise, with children being among the most vulnerable. Refugee and asylum-seeking (RAS) children in receiving countries face complex physical, mental and social health challenges. There is a lack of understanding of the types and effectiveness of specialist healthcare models for RAS children to inform policy and practice. We will conduct a scoping review to map the evidence on specialist models of care and integrated health services for RAS children in receiving countries, with the aim of identifying practical strategies.
