The CIMHS South team is made up of a range of health and social care professionals who co-ordinate care packages, treatment, interventions and support for service users in the north of the borough who have a mental health diagnosis.
The team works with Primary Care Networks (PCNs) (groups of GP practices) comprising: Central 1 & Newham Central PCNs, Docklands and South 1 PCNs. These bring together primary and secondary care, local authority services and third sector (voluntary) and local communities to support people with severe mental health problems, including complex emotional needs associated with a diagnosis of ‘personality disorder’ and disordered eating.

A mental health crisis is when you feel overwhelmed and need urgent support. It may be due to thoughts of harming yourself or others, or suicidal thoughts. Or it may be that the symptoms you have due to your mental health diagnosis are making it difficult to manage and support is needed very quickly.
In office hours, Monday–Friday 9am–5pm, please call us on the usual number on this page for support and advice.
If it is out of hours, at night, at the weekend or over a bank holiday, there is support available.
Just call NHS 111 on your phone. When asked about the nature of your call, press 2 on your keypad. This will take you straight through to a trained mental health professional that you can speak to.
