Sally Sherman ward is a 19 bedded mixed sex ward based at East Ham Care Centre that provides care for older adults with cognitive impairment from Newham, Tower Hamlets and Hackney who require specialist nursing care to support with challenging behaviour. 
The ward provides outstanding NHS continuing care to people who have dementia with complex holistic needs 

The multi-disciplinary team includes a consultant Psychiatrist, GP, Specialist Nursing Team, Pharmacist, Support Workers, Speech/Language Therapy, Tissue Viability Team, Activities team and Dietician. 

The environment is dementia friendly delivering single en-suite facilities and exceptional levels of cleanliness. 

The multi-disciplinary team works closely with families and carers who are engaged at every step to their loved ones journey.  

Referrals are received from Columbia Ward at Mile End Hospital.
