Patient Appliances

The Patient Appliance Service involves the assessment of an orthotic device externally fitted to support any part of the body that is weakened by a defect, disease or injury or to correct and maintain a restricted function. 

Orthotics is assessed by a trained Appliance Officer/Technical Instructor who is supported by Administrators. 

External Support (Contractor) is provided weekly by an Orthotist who assess and fit specialised Orthoses e.g., Custom Made Fabrics Supports and Bespoke Surgical Footwear etc.
