We have been holding elections across five of the Trust’s constituencies.

Why should you consider becoming a Governor?
Governors represent the interests of the Trust’s membership (which includes staff, patients and local residents) and the wider public.
Standing as a candidate
Nominations for election to our Council of Governors are now closed, and we had 24 candidates for the 11 governor vacancies in this year’s election.
We are especially pleased that our members have a contested election in every single Constituency! This is testament to local people’s interest in their community health and mental health services.

The process
A Notice of Poll was published on Monday, 5 September 2022.
Polls opened the following day, Tuesday, 6 September 2022. The election website was open on that day, and voting packs were despatched electronically to all Trust members who live in Constituencies where an election was to be held - those without a registered email address received their voting papers in the post.
Voting remained open until the close of election on Thursday 29 September 2022, 5pm.
Results were published on Friday, 30 September 2022.
The newly elected governors underwent fit and proper checks and will now take part in induction to the role. They will officially take up their posts on 1 November 2022.
