Luton & Beds Occupational Therapy
Welcome to Occupational Therapy for Mental Health in Luton & Bedfordshire
What We Do
Our OT services provide assessment, intervention and rehabilitation to support people to manage everyday activities at home, in hospital and in the community. We use evidence-based approaches, goal-focused treatment and close collaboration with families, carers and wider multidisciplinary teams.
OT can help you with things like:
• Managing personal care, home tasks and routines.
• Building structure and motivation in your day.
• Accessing education, work, leisure and community activities.
• Developing coping strategies for anxiety, low mood or distress.
• Supporting sensory, cognitive and communication needs.
Who We Support
We work with adults and older people who are receiving care from ELFT mental health and learning disability services in Luton and Bedfordshire. This includes people experiencing severe and enduring mental health difficulties, dementia and related conditions, and people with a learning disability who need support with everyday living.
We also work closely with families, carers and support networks to help them understand the person’s needs and to sustain independence and safety wherever possible.
