Somerset Partnership NHS Foundation Trust provides a wide range of integrated community health, mental health, learning disability and social care services to people of all ages.

The Trust employs 3,838 staff, and has a turnover of £158 million. We provide services from 13 community hospitals across the county, and we provide mental health inpatient services on 9 mental health wards. We run 7 minor unit units and 4 dental access centres, including on the Isle of Wight and in Dorset. We make more than 1.1 million patient contacts each year. We see people in our community team bases, in GP surgeries and local clinics, in a range of non-NHS community settings and at home.

Alicia Long (Clinical Studies Officer)

Alicia Long is the Clinical Studies Officer for Somerset Partnership. She works within a multi-disciplinary research team, supporting the delivery of NIHR Portfolio studies, particularly within the mental health specialty. The team strives to integrate research into everyday practice to ensure that all patients have the opportunity to take part in clinical research studies.

Alicia was recently awarded Trust Employee of the Month in recognition of her fantastic work identifying and recruiting patients to the Prevalence of Pathogenic Antibodies in Psychiatric Illness (PPiP2) research study (Oxford University) - Somerset Partnership was one of the top three recruiters in the country.
