Newham blood testing service

The Phlebotomy service takes samples of blood for analysis to support diagnosis and/or monitoring of a health condition when referred by a GP or acute services. 

We provide four phlebotomy (blood testing) clinics in Newham for you to choose from, according to where you live.

All appointments need to be made online. It is quick and straightforward. You will get a reminder text message the day before your appointment. Please do not attend without an appointment.

Booking online means that patients do not have to wait with others in a waiting room but can just attend at the time of their appointment.

We provide blood testing clinics at four centres in the borough:

  • Shrewsbury Rd Health Centre, 306 Shrewsbury Road, London E7 8QP  
  • Centre Manor Park, 30 Church Road, London E12 6AQ  
  • Appleby Health Centre, 63 Appleby Road, Canning Town, E16 1LQ
  • Vicarage Lane Health Centre, 10 Vicarage Lane, London E15 4ES

The service will take a blood sample as requested by your clinician. All samples will be transferred to the laboratory by the service. The results will be on a system that your clinician can check and share with you.

If you are unable to attend, it's important to cancel your appointments as soon as possible so it can be given to someone else. 

You can cancel your appointment via the following options:

  • Via your personal account. 
    After following the 2 simple steps a notification of cancellation will come to the email address and phone number provided by service user.
