1 x 2 hour discussion group. Designed to provide an outline of the positive parenting values.Developing a good bedtime routines. Looking at different problems parents face at bedtime and some of the reasons why they happen. Talks about the skills children need to get into a good bedtime routine. Parents are introduced to positive parenting methods to help stop problems happening.

A 4 week programme for parents of 10-18 year olds. Supports parents in developing skills to build their knowledge and increase their confidence to meet their child's needs during the pre-teen and teenage years of development. The sessions have information and advice on supporting and providing children with a safe and interesting environment. Discussions on the introduction and thinking about life as a teenager, exploitation and the grooming process, digital dangers and parenting tips.

5-18 years 10 week programme 2.5 hour sessions
Being a Parent ASD is for parents/carers with a child with autism or waiting an assessment. It is a peer led parenting programme
Includes:
• Strengthening parent- child bonds and relationship
• Parents learn a range of positive parenting skills
• How to better understand children’s feelings
• Value effective parent-child communication
• Build better, more resilient family relationships

Families First works with a variety of families where there is a child or young person with emotional, social, and or behavioural difficulties. It covers needs such as school attendence, Young People at risk of exploitation, Young People with emotional wellbeing difficulties, family conflict, domestic abuse, parental mental health, and parental substance misuse. Family First can work with families up to a period of 12 weeks, however this can be shorter depending on identified/negotiated areas of support required by the family.

Gingerbread offer single parent support in the form of training programmes, online forum, free helpline- help with financial and emotional need, etc. They provide expert advice and information to support all single parents so that they have the tools to support their children and themselves. They also offer a support network.

EPEC is a parent lead parenting programme that aims to strengthen parent-child bonds and relationships. Parents can learn a range of positive parenting skills such as better understanding children's feelings, valuing effective parent-child communication, building better and more resilient family relationships, being good enough, play and spending time with your children, understanding children's behaviour, positive discipline strategies, listening and communication, and coping with stress. There is also an ASD specific and baby oriented group.
Age Range: Parents of children aged 9 - 16 years old (for the standard group. Other groups may vary)

Training for parents/carers of children who have social communication difficulties or a diagnosis of Autism, aged from Reception to Year 11. Duration: 4 sessions, weekly.
SCERTS® is a comprehensive intervention model for children and young people with a diagnosis of Autism or related social communication needs. Supported by trainers from the Language, Communication and Interaction Service (LCIS), parents/carers will learn more about their child’s communication and emotional regulation. They will be introduced to strategies to support their child’s communication skills and their ability to stay calm, focused and engaged.

8 week programme - 2 hour sessions
A programme to support parents of children with a developmental delay such as an intellectual disability, autism spectrum disorders, cerebral palsy, and elevated levels of disruptive behaviour.
To assists parents to learn a range of parenting skills and manage mild to moderate challenging behaviours.

There are a variety of "Time Out" groups including some specific for dads/father figures, for under 5s, for pre teens & teens, and for children with additional needs such as ADHD and Autism. The groups help to encourage parents to increase their confidence and share experiences with each other. It supports with strategies around buidling child's self-esteem, emotion regulation, managing behaviour, advises parents on the home, school issues and the wider family and offers additional 4 sessions for parents of children with ASD and ADHD.

Triple P have a 7 week programme for 18 month - 12 year olds for two hours per session. It involves improving parents confidence in positively parenting, learning to prevent behavioural, emotional, and developmental difficulties in children. Parents can learn to recognise what influences children's behaviour, setting goals for change, building strong healthy relationships, confidently managing a child's behaviour, preventing problems developing, teaching new skills and behaviour, managing misbehaviour, planning ahead, promoting self control, taking care of yourself, and choosing the aspects of your own and the child's behaviour to work on.Triple P also offer a seminar alternative which focus on good communication, focusing on the positive, planning ahead to prevent problems, using every day situations and experiences to help children learn, and creating opportunities for children to learn and develop new skills.
