What is CAMHS?
CAMHS offers assessment and help to children, young people and their families with emotional, behavioral and mental health difficulties.
We assess, and where possible find ways of working with, the child or young person and those who look after them. We attempt to understand and deal with problems with the intention to achieve change.
We aim to provide a service that respects the beliefs of those who use the service and is sensitive to their culture and faith. We can also provide an interpreter if this will help you to feel more comfortable during sessions.
We also have a new Digital Audio Library for parents and carers.
Caring for a young person who is struggling with their mental health can be emotionally demanding and, at times, isolating. Our Digital Audio Library has been developed to offer clear, compassionate support whenever you need it.
