People Participation - City & Hackney
Participation at City & Hackney Specialist CAMHS
There are lots of opportunities to have your say, think about how things could be improved and to make a difference.
These opportunities are for current service users of City&Hackney CAMHS, both for young people and their parents/carers. There is no specific age group to get involved, some of the activities may be most suitable for over 12 years but we will make sure any younger children are included and given every support to be involved and give their views.

Young Person's Participation Group
Our participation group is on the first Wednesday of the month at Homerton Row.
It is a friendly and supportive group which acts as a hub for getting involved with activities such as making videos, improving the waiting room, working with staff to develop new services and sitting on interview panels to recruit new staff members. Use the link above to register your interest.
Caregivers Community Meeting
Our Caregivers Community Meeting is on the first Tuesday online from 5pm to 6.15pm.
The meetings are themed with a short presentation offering resources but are mainly a sp ace to meet other caregivers whose child is using CAMHS and chat, sharing empathy and support. You can also give any feedback on your experience at CAMHS and if you wish to, get involved with trainng and co-production projects to help develop and improve the service.
Recent Participation Projects
CAMHS young people took part an an art workshop with a mural artist and gave their feedback on the artist designs to come up with a version that made the waiting area much more welcoming.

Young people at City & Hackney CAMHS contribute to our bi-monthly newsletter and can also get involved with editing and publishing.
