CUSP offers teaching and training in the form of lectures, seminars and workshops. We teach on Personality Disorder - its assessment, management and treatment. We emphasise evidence-based approaches with a particular emphasis on Transference Focused Psychotherapy (TFP). Of note, while we train psychotherapists, we also train psychiatrists, general practitioners, psychologists, psychiatric nurses and social workers in Applied TFP where the objective is not an intensive psychotherapy course but instead a brief training (ranging from 3 hours to 4 workshops of 2 hours duration each) in how to manage patients with Personality Disorder in the setting of the course participant.
Workshops: DeanCross provides over 20 workshops and reflective groups a year to NMHTs, social workers, AMHPs, and related organisations and disciplines, including neighbouring NHS trusts.
Lectures: DeanCross has provided over 15 lectures this year to the MRCPsych course, medical and psychology undergraduates, GPs, and to a range of national and international conferences.
