What we do?
We offer the following specialist service to children and young people accessing our pathway:
- Specialist assessment.
- Interventions that might be individual and/or group interventions.
- Training for staff and carers.
- Universal Training to schools.
- Charity funding support (where eligible) for identified specialist communication equipment.
Where are we based?
We may see children in clinic, in their homes, at nurseries / schools and children’s centres depending on the needs of the child and family. Preschool children will typically be seen in clinic or nursery. School aged children and young people will be seen in resource provisions in school. Home visits can be offered as clinically indicated.
We work from different clinics. We run clinics in West Ham Lane Health Centre, Appleby Health Centre and Shrewsbury Road Health Centre. (hyperlink to site/address?)
Children need to be registered with a Newham GP to access the Complex Needs Speech and Language Therapy service.
