What we do?
We offer the following specialist service to children and young people accessing our pathway:
- Specialist assessment.
- Interventions related to eating and drinking.
- Universal training offered to schools – An introduction to Eating and Drinking Difficulties
- Mealtime Plan for modified diets, to ensure that your child is able to eat and drink safely.
- Programme modelling to parents, carers and school staff.
Where are we based?
We may see children and young people in clinic, in their homes, at nurseries / schools and children’s centres, depending on the needs of the child and family.
We work from different clinics. We run clinics in West Ham Lane Health Centre, Appleby Health Centre and Shrewsbury Road Health Centre.
Children need to be registered with a Newham GP to access the Complex Needs Speech and Language Therapy Dysphagia service.
