We are trying hard to reduce waiting times. Please find some information regarding support you might access whilst you are waiting and how to contact us if your circumstances change.
If you move out of Tower Hamlets whilst you are on our waiting list - please let us know immediately. We are not able to conduct assessments for people not residing in our borough. If you do not tell us about a change of address, you may delay your assessment in your new location
We are unable to prioritise ADHD assessments. Many of our families tell us that their children need additional support in school. If you are concerned about an overall change in your child's mental health, there are a number of ways you can seek additional support
If you have urgent concerns about your child or other people's safety you can contact the NHS 111 service and choose option 2.
Call 999 or go to A and E now if:
A mental health emergency should be taken as seriously as a physical one. You will not be wasting anyone's time.
If you are on our waiting list for an ADHD assessment, it is because we haven't identified any additional mental health needs that require specialist input. Many children, young people and families can be appropriately supported by our mental health in schools team or other organisations such as Stepforward or Docklands Outreach.
If your needs change, you can discuss an additional referral to us for mental health assessment via our self referral form or contacting our duty team on 020 7426 2375.
Please do not contact us to discuss waiting times. Responding to these queries will not speed up your assessment and takes away valuable resources that from our assessment and treatment appointments.
