The main criteria for taking part are to bring a motivating character full of positivity and enthusiasm for helping others.
You can bring your lived experience of using digital devices and technologies, but it is not necessary to have a background working with technology. This programme benefits from a broad range of lived experiences that understand the need for upskilling and fostering the digital behaviours and empowering others in their digital journey.
Goals:
- Improve self-confidence and develop new skills
- Facilitate digital learning sessions within ELFT and in the community
- Improve digital awareness and behaviours towards the NHS App and wider online tools
How it works:
- Based on a structured 10-week training plan
- Join a learner group formed of six - eight people
- Training is performed individually, self-paced paced and online, enabling people to manage the learning within their personal commitments
- Online learning is in small modules, approximately 5-20 minutes each
- Typical study time commitment of 2 hours per week
- Recommended to join a weekly virtual classroom enabling group to share experiences and gain support
- The curriculum is formed of 5 chapters
