East London NHS Foundation Trust conducted a comprehensive survey to understand digital engagement patterns among mental health service users.
This study was prompted by the increasing reliance on digital health services and the need to ensure equitable access across all user groups.
The Digital Life Coach program aims to equip participants with the coaching skills, planning tools, and training resources to confidently prepare training sessions, providing digital support to service users, friends & family, and community groups.

I think Saleem and the People Participation Digital Community (PPDC) are doing something really important. The PPDC’s role is key in providing care and support that works for our service users. We need service users’ voices to co-produce how digital systems are designed and how digital tools are used. We also need the PPDC to support digital inclusion work through initiatives like the device loan scheme and digital life coach training programme. This will help people develop the skills and confidence needed to access services digitally and use digital tools. The PPDC’s work at ELFT, in collaboration with our partner organisations can help us all to address digital inequalities.
